Mattamation – Infection (Invasion Planéte Mixed Up)
Our homeboy from Queensland Australia – Mattamation, rocked this mix back in 2004. It’s a special electro mix consisting only of tracks by Invasion Planéte artists, though it also features tracks released on various other labels including Crème Organization and Angelmaker Records.
It’s a dope mix and a good showcase of the Invasion Planéte label, covering musical styles from pure robotic electro funk, to darker more stripped back minimal electro and synth pop influences. A bit darker than any of the other mixes we’ve seen on Cold Crush so far, but don’t freak out baby – it’s still got enough funk to keep old school fans happy too. Typically tight mixing – that’s just how our boy Mattamation rolls, and a nice flow between the dark stuff and the more melodic synthesizer tracks.
