Cold Crush are proud to present Promoe & Cosmic from infamous Swedish rap crew the Looptroop Rockers, live in Sydney for one night only. Looptroop and Promoe have a special connection with Sydney ever since Promoe wrote the song These Walls Don’t Lie with a special tribute to graffiti artist and Looptroop fan Bingo, who died after being hit by a train painting in 2003. Both Looptroop and Promoe have toured a few times now and are well notorious for their supercharged live act, working the crowd up to a total frenzy at sold out shows.

Dreadlocked front-man Promoe released his first solo album Government Music in 2001, and has since released four solo LPs in addition to the three albums recorded with Looptroop. An MC since the young age of 15, Promoe’s lyrics are conscious and hard hitting, sometimes political and always deeply passionate. His sound is straight up no-holds-barred underground hip hop, with influences of dancehall and Jamaican music.

An original Looptroop member, Cosmic left the group after the Fort Europa album in order to spend more time with his family, but in great news for Looptroop fans he came back onto the scene this year, explaining “This last year I fell in love with making music again, and being back in the studio with the guys feels really inspiring. The album sounds great already and we can’t wait to release it to you”. Cosmic will be Promoe’s DJ for the show as well as joining him up front to rock the mic.
