Sydney hip hop fundraiser for the QLD floods
We’ve no doubt that even our overseas readers would be aware of the situation with the recent floods in Queensland. While we are glad to say that our Cold Crush fam up that way were out of the worst of it, there are at least 18 people dead including woman and young children, with still more missing. That aside, with 500,000sqkm of of Brisbane requiring repair and rebuilding there is no doubt that the lives of many more have been torn apart.
Cats from all sides of the Sydney hip hop scene are uniting this Wednesday night at Tone to do their part in raising money for the victim of the Queensland floods. A massive lineup featuring crews from labels Elefant Traks, Obese Records, Golden Era and LookUP will be rocking short 20 minute live sets. There will also be DJs from various party crews including us truly the Cold Crush Wreckin’ Cru.
ALL proceeds from this event will be donated to the QLD Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal. Tone are also putting on free pizza and drink specials all night, so come down and drop $20 on a good cause, good times guaranteed.

If you can’t make the gig but want to donate anyway, or just wish to make an extra donation to help the families affected by this disaster, please only donate to the official QLD Government appeal at http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html. There have already been reports of vultures preying on peoples kindness with scam donations, so be careful where you put your money.
