Mad Racket warehouse party tomorrow night
Mad Racket proudly presents a right royal knees-up featuring our first-ever lowlands guest, direct from deepest Amsterdam, the Dutch heet nieuw ding, Tom Trago. Part of the ‘next wave’ of Dutch DJ/producers, Tom initially warmed to the hip hop of the early and mid 90s, and released some great ‘sloppy hop’ as part of the Beat Dimensions series. His exposure to and subsequent love of deep house, disco and Detroit techno have led him to move his production into this territory, while keeping an ear out for all kinds of music. Tom is a good example of the open-minded, music-loving scene to be found in parts of Amsterdam, fostered and schooled by the heads behind Rushhour, a store, label and club night with true passion, led by producers such as Rednose Distrikt and Aardvarck, and championed by labels including Kindred Spirits. His DJ skills have landed him four current residencies in Amsterdam, one in Paris and another in Bern, Switzerland, plus trips further afield, and we look forward to hearing Tom’s mix of house, techno and disco at the Bowlo.
