Kid Frost Terminator electro funk old school rap chicano gfunk LA

Kid Frost – Terminator (Vocal Mix)

Kid Frost recorded Terminator at only age 15! Born and raised in East LA, Frost took his name as a tribute to his rival Ice T, and Terminator is considered by many to be one of the best old school rap jams out.

Kid Frost’s rhymes are ruthless and tight, and the DMX beat is dope – cold futuristic and kicking, produced by Dave Storrs aka Alien Wizard, who is also well known for working with Ice-T and Chris (The Glove) Taylor, and even working on the Robocop soundtrack!

As for Kid Frost, his rap career didn’t end with the old school electro funk. Like many West Coast cats he went on to go gangsta rap – his debut album Hispanic Causing Panic was released on Virgin in 1990 before he dropped the “Kid” from his name to sign with Eazy E‘s label Ruthless Records in ’95, where he released classic latin rhythm infused G-Funk albums Smile Now And Die Later and When Hell.A Freezes Over.

em, you sure he was 15?

discogs says he was born in ’64 & Terminator came out in ’85 which would make him 21

Maybe there were a few years in between recording and release.. but guess that’s kind of a big difference. We could be wrong! If anyone can confirm either way, you know what to do!
