Copenhagen Trains: Vandal Tactics official trailer

Our shady connection in CPH just hooked us up this link to the official trailer release for Copenhagen Trains: Vandal Tactics. Vandal Tactics is a graffiti homage to the 2nd generation red S-Trains of Copenhagen, the last of which was retired from use in 2007. The film consists of footage filmed between 1999 until the end of the era in 2007 and starring the key players of the Copenhagen train graffiti scene. Featuring live action footage of train bombing, top to bottom throw ups right to large scale full color productions, it’s a colourful look into the Danish graffiti scene as well as a worthy tribute to the infamous red steel S-Trains, the object of lust for generations of writers all over the world.

Copenhagen Trains also features an original soundtrack composed specially for the movie, consisting of 10 dark and grimy analog electro tracks. Heavy 808 kicks, gritty lofi basslines and old school synthesizer parts perfectly compliment the raw graffiti footage. The team put it best themselves: “So fat you can almost smell the rusty tracks and feel your fingers stick to the cap” — we love it! Five of ten songs that make up the soundtrack were released on a 12″ on Danish electro label Cytown Records. If you didn’t already catch it, you can hear a little sneak preview from the Cold Crush archives: Copenhagen Trains – Vandal Tactics Soundtrack.

We are dying to get our hands on a copy, and have been promised the release is not too far off, so as usual, stay tuned to Cold Crush for more!
